SPECIAL REPORT: The Reality of American Divisions in 2022, Part 1

It should come as no surprise to any who are paying attention that the United States is less unified today than it has been since the end of the Cold War and the dawn of America’s moniker as the dominant and only world superpower.

When the morning attacks on the Pentagon and the World Trade Center occurred on September 11th, 2001, the American response was to rightly unify and go after those responsible which catapulted America into what would become known as the Global War on Terror. For more than twenty years, America turned it’s military might and intelligence capabilities towards those responsible, and pursued terrorists and those supporting them across the world, but most notably in Iraq and Afghanistan operations.

However, much has occurred in international politics and on the domestic political scene since, that has done more than fray the edges of American sensibilities, and the fissures began to be more openly seen when President Donald Trump came to the office of President of the United States in 2016.

Even before POTUS 45 was inaugurated, the Progressive Left was hard at work undermining his legitimacy and colluding with those who were partisan in viewpoint. The much celebrated Steele Dossier led to a scandalous witch hunt cooked up by Leftist political hacks holding positions in the Justice Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigations and elsewhere, all centered around the lie that Trump was compromised by connections to Russia and could not be trusted to hold office.

The political circus that followed was like a dam that broke, polarizing both the Left and the Right into extremely non-compromising positions of belief. It exposed what has become known as the American “Deep State” and just how much power our Agencies and Bureaucrats hold in offices that are often held for a lifetime.

Of course, the American News Media was all but too happy to assist the Leftist Progressive Agenda by making President Trump public enemy number one as they constantly derided the POTUS 45 with a 24 hour news cycle that for years became a soap opera dedicated to a pack of lies all connected to “Trump Collusion” as they promoted coverage of the cooked up investigation and slandered the man holding America’s highest elected office.

While all this occurred, none other than Hillary Clinton who ran against Donald Trump in the 2016 Presidential election could not resist temptation and began targeting Trump supporters by openly calling them “Deplorables’” making the whole cacophony of events personal to nearly every American. By intention or not, Mrs. Clinton threw gas on an already lit fire of divisive opinion assuring American division as each of us was pushed to take sides over what became an unavoidable kitchen table issue dividing families and friends alike along political lines attached to the unfolding character assassination of POTUS 45. You were either for Trump and a ‘Deplorable’, or seen as a woke, Leftist Partisan clinging to the ‘truth’ however that was to be defined by the Democratic Party whose candidate lost the 2016 election.

All of this embroilment gassed out as Donald Trump was vindicated of any collusion and the weak foundations of the claims were brought to the light of truth, but instead of a celebratory victory lap that should have rocketed Donald Trump into a second term as President, a pyrrhic victory unfolded.

Donald Trump lost the 2020 election to the Left’s lazy choice of Joe Biden, causing even more questions as to how this could have happened? As king-makers do, the left rejoiced that their propaganda machine and stalwart allies in the Deep State had done their best work by deposing from the Presidential seat, an “orange man,” who they imbued with all of their hatreds while their choice for leader was crowned. A pick who they vaulted into office that was a questionable choice at best.

In the backdrop of all of this, a destructive virus swept the globe prompting both real and imaginary fears into the race for President and what could be done to combat this newly risen enemy.

So here we are in 2022, saddled with The Progressive’s choice for ‘Dear Leader’ and living with the very real consequences of the American election cycle of 2020.
